Adding Webservice variables

Enter “Add external variable”.

To add variables to the Webservice data source, it must be selected in the variable input mask under "Data source".

Depending on which data source type is selected, the input mask adjusts automatically.

Assign a name for the variable and specify the "Path". Now the variables can be imported via the "Browse" button, or you

know the path of the desired node and can enter it manually.

For the JSON format, subnodes are separated from the main node with a dot (.). Individual elements in an array are accessed

with curly brackets and by specifying the index X. ([X])

The path for accessing the variable marked in the graphic is to serve as an illustration:

Path: LOREM.SIT.ELIT[1].UTILITATIS

By a variable import, the data type in which the selected variables are to be imported can be selected.

Per variable import, only one data type can be selected. If variable A is to be imported as string and variable B as Boolean,

the import procedure must be start again for each variable. If both variables are to be imported as the same data type, this is done all at once.

The variables for the Webservice data source were created successfully and can now be used.
